A former City of Mobile police officer died in the Washington County Jail sometime Wednesday, June 15. Robert Harris, 35, of Mobile, was the deceased, according to a news release from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) which is investigating. The time of death was not listed in the news release. Harris had been arrested and placed in the jail after a bizzarre incident in McIntosh that happened around midnight, Friday, June 10.
