Barbara M. Whitehead, 72, of Jackson, passed away Friday, June 24, 2022, at Ascension Providence Hospital in Mobile. She was born in Pewee Valley, Ky. to Robert Walker Maddox Jr. and Mary Francis Burnett Maddox, both of whom preceded her in death. A longtime member of the First United Methodist Church of Jackson and the Wesley Bible Class, she enjoyed sewing for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She did beautiful French hand sewing for the grandchildren’s christening gowns which are still being used and loved painting china.
