Mary Alice Montgomery Foxx, a native and resident of the Gainestown community, made her earthly transition early Saturday, Aug. 6, 2022, surrounded by her loving daughters. Mary was born on Nov. 13, 1934 to Frozene Salvage Montgomery and Nathaniel Montgomery. Mary accepted Christ at an early age and joined the Good Hope AME Church of Gainestown, later uniting with the Antioch AME Church where she attended Sunday School faithfully until her health began to fail.
