James Edward Atchison, 91, passed away Friday, Aug. 12, 2022. He was a native of Alabama and a resident of McIntosh. James graduated from Leroy High School where he played football. Following graduation, he joined the Army and later married the love of his life, Elizabeth Anne Howell "Honey." The couple was married for 57 years. James was employed at Olin for 37 years as a mechanic and retired early to help build a new church.
