In this episode I’ll be giving you a few valuable tips on what you need to consider when designing a Landing Page to boost conversions. An effective landing page is the cornerstone of successful online marketing. You may have a brilliant product, but without the right landing page, you’ll suffer. Your landing page needs to be flawless and on point.
Over 90% of the global internet population use a mobile device to go online. Enough said! You also want to ensure your page is optimized for loading as quickly as possible - on any device! If your page takes too long to load, your visitors will leave!
Your header should be your value proposition. Be loud about the value of your offer. You have less than 8 seconds to convince your visitors to be interested in your offer. Make it count!
Your landing page should have a single goal. To make it as easy as possible for a visitor to convert, so it is important that all elements of your page work together towards the conversion objective. Make use of smart color palettes and eye-catching media. Keep your CTA simple, make it BOLD. You want your visitor to click that button! Keep your page clean, remove navigation and distractions. You want engagement and to keep their focus on the value of your product. Use strong text and striking media, like a video to explain the details. Give a compelling offer description. Write copy that your audience can relate to. Convince them that this is something they MUST HAVE. Use clear, easy to read font. Though a fancy font may look awesome, it may actually make your page hard to read.
Whether you like to believe it or not. People like what other people like. And they want to know that your brand is trustworthy. This could be in the form of other companies and brands that you work with. Testimonials, endorsements, reviews of people that know about or have purchased your offer.
Imagine if everyone that visited your landing page shared it with their family and friends online. Having your landing page go viral would be a great way to get more traffic and conversions. And don’t just put it out there, encourage them to share, and be loud about it.
Create a sense of urgency. FOMO is real. You want to get the audience’s attention and ensure they act fast, before your offer disappears. Visitors will rush to sign up before it’s too late.
Naturally as a marketer you’d want to capture as much information about your leads as possible. However, when it comes to a landing page, less is more. Only capture what you need. The more fields the visitor sees that they have to fill the less likely they’ll be to engage. You can always ask for more information once they’re hooked.
People have questions before they sign up for something. If these questions aren’t answered, they’re unlikely to convert. An FAQ section is a great way to answer common questions like how your product works, what’s included in the deal, or how to cancel/return the product.
Again, you may have a great product, but remember, you’re targeting people from different sources. Your landing page should be customized for those different audiences. A landing page for visitors arriving from Facebook, Twitter or Instagram would be different from the one for visitors coming from Pay per Click ads or even your monthly Newsletter
If a visitor abandons your landing page, they might never come back and you’ve missed your shot. With exit intent you can track when a visitor is about to leave your landing page and send them a targeted message at exactly the right... Support this podcast
