The Women’s Intersport Network for Kansas City (WIN for KC), has selected former Jennies basketball coach and UCM Athletic Hall of Famer Mildred “Millie” Barnes as the 2022 Kissick Construction Game Changer Award recipient.  The award is given annually to a local individual or group who personifies sports as a participant, supporter, promoter or champion of girls and women’s sports and fitness.  Barnes, who coached Jennies Basketball from 1971-1980, personifies just that.  Outside of her coaching responsibilities, Barnes served on the Rules Committee, which existed before AIAW or NCAA.
