JOHNSON COUNTY — Just one day after candidate filing closed for the August primary election, it was announced that the sole candidate for Johnson County Presiding Commissioner has withdrawn from the race. Incumbent Densil Allen, a Republican, did not file for re-election. Republican candidate Brandon Phelps was listed as the only candidate for Presiding Commissioner at the close of candidate filing on Tuesday, March 29, but he then withdrew.
