Holden baseball overcame a six run deficit, beating Van Horn 9-8 in extra innings on Friday, April 22, at Crane Stadium. With two outs in the bottom of the ninth, a wild pitch scored junior Travis Bruns. Bruns was a pinch runner for sophomore Lane Siemer, who reached base through a hit by pitch. Sophomore Aiden Morarity earned the win on the mound, throwing 4 ⅓ innings in relief. He allowed no runs on four hits with two walks and eight strikeouts. Holden returns to action Monday, April 25, as it hosts Lafayette County.
