When Kathleen Boswell began planning a trip to Poland to help Ukrainian women and children refugees, she never realized the impact the trip would have on her and those in need. Boswell flew out of Columbia on May 10, routed through Chicago and Helsinki, Finland, to Warsaw, Poland. Her final destination was Wroclaw, Poland, with a population of 750,000. This colorful, old-world city has taken in 300,000 Ukrainian refugees since Putin’s war began on Feb. 24.
