“Net zero involves as much mitigation possible before you start to do the offsetting. From a systems perspective, there is only so much the land, forestry, agriculture, etc. can absorb and we think it’s about 5 gigatonnes. So we need to shrink global emissions to 5 gigatonnes from the 50 it is today.”
