Do you know the difference between negative reinforcement and positive punishment?

Negative reinforcement and positive punishment are not the same things, but they do get confused a lot. We talked about reinforcement in the last episode, so we’re diving into punishment and why it’s so important to understand both in this episode.

Punishment and reinforcement actually both have positive and negative in their definitions. Positive means you're adding something in, and negative means you're taking something away.
