On Thursday, August 25, 2022, Barbara Ehrentreu, host of Books and Entertainment Tales from the Pages welcomes Marie Amoruso to the show. She is a good friend for many years, a fellow member of Greenwich Pen Women, an author and educator, and someone who has worked to teach children of all levels to read. Her new book, Avanti, is a true story relating the lives of her ancestors who came to America in the early twentieth century. Her first book, Grandma Needs A Nap, was written to teach young children to read. Through the story, she interweaves educational techniques encouraging young readers to practice reading skills. Friends of the show are encouraged to call in the second hour to ask her questions. As always there might be some surprises and I am looking forward to our discussion. So tune in on Thursday at 4pm EDT to hear this truly amazing woman speak about her life and her books. If you miss it live you can always listen by clicking on the link and hearing it in the archives.
