By January 14th, 25% of anyone that set a resolution will have given in.

By the end of the year, only 8% of those resolutions will actually be implemented. (Source University of Scranton)

Why bother?  

A 2002 study published in the Journal of Clinical Psychology  found that those who made a New Year's resolution were 44% more likely to succeed in that goal after six months than those who did not make a resolution but were interested in changing a problem later.
