Matthew 9.9 - 13. Matthew 9 is a strange passage. In the story you have a tax collector, Matthew, who is considered to be the lowest on society meeting Jesus and, in an instant following him. Then you have Jesus socializing with sinners whom God would not usually socialize with. Finally, you have the religious people being told that religion is not as important as relationship. This passage goes against what we think, so how do we make sense of it? Download or stream this sermon to find out.
