Give forgiveness to your spouse Proverbs 17:9 He who covers over an offense promotes love, but whoever repeats the matter separates close friends.

God calls us to forgive. Jesus said to forgive as we have been forgiven.

Speak life into your spouse Proverbs 18:20 The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.

“Death” is speaking out of your flesh—your hurt, anger and pain. “Speaking life” is: • Affirming your mate’s character and actions. • Accepting your mate’s strengths. • Encouraging your mate’s destiny and potential. • Sharing the truth in love.

You are either building up and will enjoy a harvest from your words or you are tearing down.

Rejoice in the good things about your spouse. Don't let your marriage stagnate. • Spend one-on-one time together daily • Get away together regularly. • Identify distractions and minimize them. Turn off the phone & TV. • Give gifts, make calls, have dates and have fun together.
