What is the nature of a Christian's inheritance? Where is it rooted? Why do we deserve an inheritance? What is unique about this inheritance? What does baptism have to do with our inheritance? Peter writes to Christians and answers these questions as they struggle because they live in this world. Peter reminds them they are citizens of heaven and are elect/chosen by God in Christ. God, through His Son, brings reconciliation and forgiveness of sin for all who believe, by grace through faith, that Christ is the Son of God and Savior to all who believe.
