I’m in a sailboat on the River Crouch in the UK, moored up alongside a pontoon—in a gale. You hear the tide running passed the fibreglass hull, along with the screech of the mooring ropes as they wax and wane to the wind while it pushes and pulls eight tons of fibreglass, wood and steel, trying to set us loose.
It’s night.
