Hosea 10.12: ‘Sow righteousness for yourselves and reap the fruit…’ NIV

In this episode we talk about creating a fleeting or a lasting legacy. Building a lasting legacy might mean something like leaving generational wealth, as this type of creation has a lasting effect, beyond the creator’s lifetime. Yet, can something as respectable as wealth really be classed as a legacy of true substance? In the end, money, as with everything man-made, will pass away.

This reminds us of Matthew 6.20 which says ‘Store your treasures in heaven, where moth and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal.’

But how can strive to build eternal legacy when everything on earth is fleeting?  What type of creation can be counted as an investment towards eternity? 

We search for real life examples of eternal legacy and touch briefly on Abraham whose faith was his spiritual legacy lives on.  

Lindy touches on the spiritual practise of prayer as a type of spiritual investment. Prayer happens in the spiritual realm where time does not exist. Here everything connected. Here there is no time or death.
