The gospel (A definition): the teaching or revelation of Christ.  

Hello everyone. Today, Lindy and I take on the hefty topic of The Gospel. It’s term that's so commonly used in the Christian faith, that it can be easy to generalise or assume it has one single meaning. Lindy and I ask ourselves how do people define the gospel? And more importantly, how do we define the gospel? 

Lindy and I talk about how our early understanding of the gospel narrative was based on the belief that a man called Jesus died so that we would be free from spiritual death.  

Going further, we talk about how our understanding has evolved over the years. We discuss how the gospel of the bible is the understanding that we are free from anything that limits us and that includes ideas of identity.  

The gospel can be seen as a story about a God who loved humanity and wanted to hold us close; it's about knowing who God is and how much he loves us. Perhaps the gospel is a revelation of love.
