If you follow Jesus for any length of time, he will eventually say something that seems very, very strange. Today we look at a passage in John 6 that contains one of the oddest and most “distasteful” claims of Christ’s whole ministry: “Eat my flesh and drink my blood!” In response to the strange statement, we will ask two questions: (1) What did Jesus mean in saying this!? And (2) How should we respond when Christ’s claims seem strange or even offensive to us?
