Air Vice Marshal Arjun Subramaniam is a serving air force officer and is a part of the faculty at the National Defence College, New Delhi. He has recently authored a book called India's Wars: A Military History (1947-1971). Guru Aiyar is an ex-naval officer and currently is a research associate at the Takshashila Institution.
