One of the 5 regrets of the dying is that they wish they would have worked less. Looking at the reasons for Sabbath in the Scripture gives direction to this regret.

There are two reasons given for the Sabbath in the Hebrew Scriptures. The first is so that we'd recognize our limitations and realize we aren't God. The second is so that we would not be defined by what we do and be a slave.
