Tyre Nichols died at the hands of five to six Memphis police officers in a horrific beating. Once the emotional reaction is managed, we need to get down to thinking about how to solve the problem, which is that we have unqualified people joining the force after 2020. We have a mass exodus of qualified police and a record low number of new enrollees. We demoralized the police and now we have the least qualified people joining. How do we solve this? IQ and personality testing should be a part of the solution.
