Keen on pursuing a career in production and/or stage management? In this radio chat, Channel NewsTheatre speaks to Clarisse Ng and Vivi Agustina about the thrills and perils of working backstage in the Singapore theatre scene.

Clarisse Ng (they/them preferably) works as a freelance production manager. They enjoy smaller scale productions that are more process-based and allow them time to be in the rehearsal room. They work regularly with Zelda Tatiana Ng and Noor Effendy Ibrahim as well as the Intercultural Theatre Institute.

Vivi Agustina is a freelance trilingual stage manager. She graduated from the Esplanade's Stage Management Training Programme (SMTP) in 2013 and has since been working as a venue stage manager there. Vivi enjoys working across a range of performing art forms, from theatre to dance to music.

Ke Weiliang is the founding administrator of Channel NewsTheatre.
