The Cross Reference Book Club book for August: Maybe You Should Talk To Someone by Lori Gottlieb
Maybe You Should Talk to Someone is revolutionary in its candor, offering a deeply personal yet universal tour of our hearts and minds and providing the rarest of gifts: a boldly revealing portrait of what it means to be human, and a disarmingly funny and illuminating account of our own mysterious lives and our power to transform them.
We look forward to hearing what you learned from reading this book at our next meeting on Saturday, August 26 at 6:30 PM at the Cross Reference Library at FBC Richland (Room 301). Join the group and RSVP so that we know you’re participating. You can join the Group and RSVP in the App: Home>Connect>Groups or click here.
Come join us whether you’ve read the book or not – we welcome all discussion. We’re excited to see you then!

Made AliveI Surrender I Will Stand My Redeemer LivesMade AliveVerse 1I once was dead in sin alone and hopeless
A child of wrath I walked condemned in darkness
But Your mercy brought new life
And in Your love and kindness
Raised me up with Christ and made me righteous
ChorusYou have bought me back with the riches of
Your amazing grace and relentless love
I’m made alive forever with You life forever
By Your grace I’m saved
(By Your grace I’m saved)
Verse 2Lord You are the light that broke the darkness
You satisfy my soul when I am heartless
If ever I forget my true identity
Show me who I am and help me to believe
BridgeMy sin has been erased
I’ll never be the same
I SurrenderVerse 1The riches of this world will fade
The treasures of our God remain
Here I empty myself to owe this world nothing
And find ev’rything in You
Chorus I surrender I surrender
I surrender all to You
Verse 2Take my life a sacrifice
In You alone I’m satisfied
Here I empty myself to owe this world nothing
And find ev’rything in You
Oh oh ev’rything in You
BridgeNot my will but Yours be done
Not my strength but Yours alone
Nothing else but You O Lord
I find ev’rything in You
I Will StandVerse 1You saved me from my destruction
You turned my feet from death
You lifted me with Your kindness
You filled me with Your breath
How can I thank You
What can I bring
Chorus I will stand and worship You
For ev’rything You are to me
I will lift my voice in praise
For all the wonders You display
I will stand I will stand and worship You
Verse 2You draw me with tender mercies
You hold me in Your grace
So I will fall down in rev’rence
At the myst’ry of Your ways
So how can I thank You
What can I bring
BridgeIn the middle of the congregation
I will lift my voice to say that You are good
And in the midst of ev’ry situation
I will make this declaration
You are good yeah yeah
My Redeemer LivesVerseI know He rescued my soul
His blood has covered my sin
I believe I believe
My shame He’s taken away
My pain is healed in His name
I believe I believe
Pre-ChorusI’ll raise a banner
‘Cause my Lord has conquered the grave
ChorusMy Redeemer lives
My Redeemer lives
My Redeemer lives
My Redeemer lives
BridgeYou lift my burdens
I’ll rise with You
I’m dancing on this mountaintop
To see Your kingdom come
