About Zip Nguyen: Zip was born and raised in Vietnam. When she was just under 18, she moved to the U.S. for college and has been living there since. She started her first full-time job at New York Magazine then moved to the BBC at the end of 2019, currently leading Business Intelligence, Pricing & Yield in the Americas region in News at BBC Studios. Besides her main job, she is also a BBC Senior Leadership Team Advisor alumni and Deputy Chair of BBC Studios Next Generation Board. Zip is the founder and CQO (Chief Quarterlife-crisis Officer) for the Bloom in Crisis brand, and host of the Bloom in Crisis podcast.

About Bloom in Crisis: Globally connected, locally relevant, personally touched – Bloom in Crisis is an inclusive place to learn, share, and grow. It is where vulnerability is normalized, underrepresented voices are amplified, diversity is celebrated, honest advice and genuine support are given. We believe that no one should have to go through their crisis times alone nor navigate through life without accessible guidance.

Having struggled and gone through many crises by herself, Zip Nguyen started blogging when the pandemic hit in March 2020 and later on released Bloom in Crisis podcast in June 2021, with a mission to create a global community where everyone from different cultures, generations, and backgrounds overcome tough times together, learn and uplift each other through the power of authentic storytelling, cross-learning, and sharing pragmatic advice. After receiving so much love and support from her audiences, Zip launched bloomincrisis.com, a weblog, in April 2022 to provide another outlet for stories to be told and to further expand the community. Together, we inspire each other to #bloomincrisis.

While the main language of both the weblog and the podcast is English, Zip also wants to use her platforms to bring Vietnamese voices and conversations to the world while connecting with the Vietnamese community, so there are also content written and episodes spoken in Vietnamese, Zip's native language.
