First and foremost it is important to note that Canada has become the top destination for international students over the last few years. In fact, there were over 640 000 students in Canada in 2019, with 60% of them applying for PR after. So what is making Canada such an attractive place for studies?

Immigration Canada created a very clear pathway for international students, After their studies they can apply for PGWP ( up to 3 years) and from that apply for Canadian Experience class.
As we have seen in today's times, Canadian Experience Class draws are being done every other week by Immigration Canada, so the opportunities are there, it is up to you to create your pathway.

When coming to study in Canada, there are a few things to keep in mind

2. Choose the course of your liking, but make sure to choose a course from 18 - 24 months. This will make a big difference as a 1 year course gives you 1 year work permit, anything above that give you a 3 years work permit. With 3 years you have enough time to gain work experience, apply for Canadian Experience Class, without being out of status or having to leave Canada.
3. When you come from these 7 countries : India, Pakistan, Morocco, Senegal, China, Philippines, Vietnam, you can apply for SDS program which processes your application quicker. 4. Canada has 3 intakes; January, May, September. Make sure to verify with your college the deadlines, to have time to apply for your study permit on time.
