Ali was given a 35mm camera by his uncle. He took one of his photos in Germany when they were tearing down the Berlin wall.

Ali came from Iran. He lived through war and revolution and saw people hung in the streets. He was an immigrant in four countries. He studied engineering in the US and then pivoted, had a chick-feet business. He pivoted when financial crisis hit, turned his hobby into his career and moved into professional photography. He had a late start. He had no prior experience taking photos for Hollywood and Bollywood celebrities, family portraits with high-end families. How did he transform his career?

I am joined with Ali Ghorbani this week to talk about his story, how he pivoted multiple times in his life and became either best, first or different in everything that he does.

First of its kind indeed. Grateful and honour to have this chat with Ali to learn about our environment shaped up his belief system and what he does.

Better-self together.
