The Starmer Government is playing a very deceptive game with the Trump regime. It is pretending to increase GDP on defence as wanted by President Trump of all NATO members, but actually doing very little. Trump wants to see 4-5% GDP spend by NATO countries, the UK is at 2.33% and will only move to 2.5% by 2027. Reeves has said that any attempt to get to 3% would only be an "ambition by 2035. It's all a joke!
