People often categorize decisions as either “good” or “bad” ones and, sometimes, it is only in hindsight that they can really tell which one it was. In his prayer for the Philippians, Paul encourages them towards not simply “good” decisions, but “excellent” ones. He prays for confidence, that they would know what is excellent and, so informed, be ready for the day of Christ. With so many decisions before us each day, we too need pray more for confidence in our own lives.
