Responsive prayer? Attentive prayer? Lived prayer? Walking-with-God prayer? Fun to consider, but in the end: a different choice.
Does that make me a good communicator or a fool? Pushing through to find identity from the Lord. (And little error correction: Miss Bates shows up in Emma, not Pride and Prejudice. I should have said, "Jane Austen's character.")
It took six years of asking: Lord, what should we be measuring? But one day, the answer came!
The Lord has space for us to grieve. Yes, we can be thankful for the provision and the mercy, but that doesn't require we pretend the grief isn't there.
I mentioned this idea in Episode 54, but some additional practical thoughts on what to do when the alarm goes off.
What resources, ideas, or inputs have you been given in the last month to help make the choice? And if you can't think of any: perhaps the moment hasn't yet arrived in which to make the decision.
Deal with the underlying griefs and hang-ups. Healing prayer, perhaps. Or face the feelings and actually feel them. Give them attention.
Take the time to synchronize with the Lord: and my best attempt to describe what that looks like.
Operating in a place I'm normally good, until I wasn't: so humbling. So painful. So in need of God's gracious pouring out.

A need for forgiveness? Check in with the body: where am I feeling it? A sense of catastrophe? Several options to consider.
What I noticed when I first started praying more, which coincided with being open to being a feeler.
It took only one word to open up the exit, but without that word, it was a pretty miserable ride.
I have seasons where I pray this prayer more than others--this is one of those seasons.

The need for grace to cover our sins, for wisdom to know how to follow Jesus well, and rebuking the religious spirit.
At the end of a long season of travel and impartation … one of the most critical things I've noticed.
Includes one of my favorite stories to demonstrate that impartation actually does something.
How did Jesus react when he came to sickness? How did Paul deal with his infirmities? What does it look like to keep praying in hope? A few different thoughts.
One direction I would definitely not go, and a few additional suggestions. (I really like this one! I forgot what I said, and it blessed me to go back through it later!)
A prayer when there is a real threat of impingement. A good prayer for the last day of October … or any day there is a sense of foreboding or threat.
Is it possible to force someone to like poetry? I'm not sure it is. So maybe let the boxes be, until they're ready to let go.
So insidious, to have that veil come down. (Lord, clear away everything that's not of you!)

In a year with more elections globally than any other year in history, I appreciate this insight.
I hadn't considered the difference between the action of giving a word of encouragement, comfort, or strengthening, and the gift to the body to be a prophet.
Is it rational? Irrational? Generational? A few options for praying through this and other fears.
My little reminder that I am a whole person, with physical needs, that are no less real than all the incorporeal parts of me.
