The love of our Heavenly Father gives us essential worth.  As believers in Jesus Christ, we are adopted by God, brought into the family of God all by the Son of God.  This changes everything!!  Jesus' act of redemption literally removed the word "orphan" from the human vocabulary.  We now can cry out "Abba, Father!"
