This episode, number 25 (can you believe it?) I will cover my new plan for fulfilling my dreams. With the tremendous help and support by my amazing wife, aided, in part, monetarily by the success of my investment choices, I have decided to pursue my lifelong dream of being my own boss; this time in the form of becoming a full-time swing trader.
This is what I’d like to do with the Bitcoin Summer Portfolio. I will be fully transparent with my portfolio choices, tactics used, trades made, and profit or loss made IN REAL TIME! With updates every week and will continue until at least December of 2022, I will pull apart the investing concepts and ideas that arise during the process. This way you will not only get to know the concepts, but you will also get to see them succeed or bellyflop as time goes on. I will still continue to put out tutorials on Lighting and all things Bitcoin, but those take much more production time, so those have to be few and farther between as it is. Therefore this new element won't detract from the regular course of the show. I need to emphasize this, and I will continue to repeat it through the course of this experiment, THESE TRADES AND TACTICS ARE NOT MEANT TO BE COPIED IN ANY WAY! I have no idea what I’m doing. This is for entertainment and educational purposes only and I, in no way, recommend making investment choices on the basis of what I discuss on this show.

Evergrande Contagion
· What happened – they skipped a bond payment and could default
· Held by Huge bondholders like Blackrock, HSBC, and UBS (not-so-friendly to Bitcoin might I add)
· What will happen?
o Scenario 1: Beijing bailout?
o Scenario 2: Single company punishment with bailout of suppliers, bondholders, and other real estate companies (who could quite possibly be going through the same sort of thing below the surface)?
o Either scenario they go with means more currency debasement, at least in China
· In fact, they have already pumped $14 billion into the market since Saturday, so I’m sure there has been a lot more not yet reported yet
· These include treasuries and mortgage-backed securities
· Was supposed to be in November, but I think it was already just a signal to get ahead of rising inflation worries that the average consumer is feeling—this spook of the market just shot this idea in the foot
· Will printing accelerate?
· What this means for Bitcoin?
o Bitcoin was created in 2009, as a response to over-levered companies, making bad decisions, deamed, “too big to fail”

· Everyone has their own Bitcoin journey, but my hope is that all our journeys lead to self-custody
· 1st consideration is financial security and privacy. These are the cornerstones to true self-sovereignty. Not to get all doomsday, but financial isolation, currency debasement, and other social control tools are typically a dictator’s most powerful weapon against a free and fair people.
· 2nd consideration is exchange risk. like Mount Gox in 2013, which lost $460 million worth of Bitcoin, or 850,000 bitcoin (equivalent to $42.5 billion today)
o You most likely have heard the saying, “not your keys, not your coins” and this is very true
· 3rd consideration is Bitcoin’s scarcity itself. If you are a hodler, you can either actively accelerate its scarcity or keep your keys on an exchange and have a neutral effect.
o If you keep your coins on an interest-bearing app, you are even creating sell pressure on Bitcoin due to short sellers borrowing those exact coins from you. BlockFi and Celsius make their cut and pass interest on to you, but just know you are actively lowering the value of those coins you care so much about.
