The sage Proverb says NLT “The tongue can bring life or death (or) has the power of life and death.” NIV “Words Kill, words give life.” (18:21a) In his third chapter, James focuses on the power spoken words have, for good and for evil; to build up or to destroy. If we are going to follow Jesus, we must control our tongue.
