DEALING WITH DISAPPOINTMENT AND FAILURE

Life has a way of sometimes kicking you in the guts. A way of disappointing you like you never expected or dashing your hope and belief in future possibilities. A way of making you feel like you have failed despite the steps it took to give it a try.

From an earthly perspective, when life throws you lemons, sometimes it just leaves a sour taste in your mouth. However, if you view these disappointments and failures through a God-lens they start to take on the shape of possibility and opportunity. They start to look like hope-filled steps towards a future with doors that are opened waiting for us to step through.

This week, no matter what you’re currently journeying through, our prayer is that your view will start to take a different shape. A view that trusts God’s plan and purpose over disappointment. A view that leans into learning and refinement over failure. And a view that ultimately stands firm on the hope and faith we have in Christ.
