Jesus and his disciples went to Jericho. And as they were leaving, they were followed by a large crowd. A blind beggar by the name of Bartimaeus son of Timaeus was sitting beside the road. When he heard that it was Jesus from Nazareth, he shouted, “Jesus, Son of David, have pity on me!” Many people told the man to stop, but he shouted even louder, “Son of David, have pity on me!” Jesus stopped and said, “Call him over!” They called out to the blind man and said, “Don't be afraid! Come on! He is calling for you.” The man threw off his coat as he jumped up and ran to Jesus. MARK 10:46-50 (NIV)

CALLED TO COURAGE

Courage is not the absence of fear but the triumph over it. -Nelson Mandela

As Christians we are called to courage. To face circumstances and situations that are uncertain, maybe painful and possibly surrounded by fear.

But the amazing thing is, we do not do this alone, and we do not take the step of courage ill equipped. We can step with confidence trusting that God has already triumphed.

This week as we explore courage and the faithfulness of God our prayer is that, no matter what situation you or those around you may be facing that you will see how God is orchestrating His master plan over your life.
