So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. EPHESIANS 4:11–13 (NIV)

THE BODY OF CHRIST

And so it is in the body of Christ. For though we are many, we’ve all been mingled into one body in Christ. This means that we are all vitally joined to one another, with each contributing to the others. ROMANS 12:5 (TPT)

If you attended Sunday School growing up, the term ‘the body of Christ’ is not unfamiliar. However, as we grow up and are walking through the reality of life, it’s easy to forget that we are a part of a body of Christ. And more than that, that we each have a unique role to play.

This week’s readings are intended to remind you that you are a part of the body of Christ, and that God has created you specially to play your unique role within that body.

We hope you are encouraged but also that your passion and endurance are renewed knowing you are united in Christ with your fellow brothers and sister, all striving towards the same goal. To Shine Christ’s light to the world.
