BACK TO BASICS: THE CHURCH

In such a fearful world, we need a fearless church. CS LEWIS

Throughout history ‘the church’ has changed. Even today the church looks different depending on where you are: the buildings are different – some built hundreds of years ago; others are a person’s home or under a tree. the services look different – some based in tradition, others are loud and lively; some have organists and others have a full rock band. the church experience feels different – some are more structured and predictable whilst others have lights and screens or may be more group-discussion based.

However, the church isn’t a building, a look or a feel. The church is a people, a community. It’s you and it’s me!

This week, may the distractions of the world fade to the background and may you see clearly the church as God intended it… His people, gathering together, in fellowship for His glory!
