Jesus answered him, ‘Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.’ Nicodemus said to him, ‘How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?’ Jesus answered, ‘Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit… For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.’ JOHN 3:3–6,16 (ESV)

BACK TO BASICS: THE KINGDOM OF GOD
The kingdom of God is like a mustard seed beginning as the smallest of seeds but growing until the birds of the air make their nests therein. There are old worlds and new ones. There are earthly worlds and cyber worlds. But one truth remains the same now and forever, that Jesus rules them all. - RC SPROUL Jr
The kingdom of God. A phrase that we use so often in Christianity but a phrase that can be so obscure and confusing when we think about it.
What is the kingdom of God? Where is the kingdom of God? How is it growing? How can it expand human existence? What is my role in the kingdom of God?
Through this week’s readings we’ll be taking a closer look at the kingdom of God and what it means. Our hope is that our eyes may be opened to the way God continues to rule and reign over His kingdom, the beautifully woven tapestry of creation that exists to bring glory and honour to His name.
