Forrest made headlines when he assisted several kayakers attempt a never before kayaked run at marble Fork Gorge in the Sierra Nevadas. It was a feat of bravery and skill, and was a success. Forrest has a legendary commitment to the sport and respect for adventure and responsibilities as a fellow kayaker that permeates his community, family, and the entire sport. He is also an accomplished climber, which he frequently uses to increase his opportunities for kayaking locations.
