The trillion dollar student loan debt started with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Good but Ugly was born out of frustration of the FAFSA, which remains a barrier to college access faced by many, especially international and first generation college students. This podcast starts a conversation that goes beyond surface level FAFSA simplification.
FAFSA simplification is a major improvement to the dreaded college aid application but still does not address rising tuition costs. This episode covers a few updates to be expected this 2021-22 aid year until full implementation in the 2024-25 aid year.
