Jimmy came to Guiding Light over 3 years ago seeking treatment for alcoholism. Like many of us in recovery, relapse is a part of his story, and while we do go into that it doesn't define who he, or any of us are. We talk about what is working for us today, and why the life Jimmy has built for himself since then is worth staying sober for. We touch on how the decision to relapse is made long before one picks up again, and how deceptive the brain can be even in sobriety. Jimmy also recalls when Doug came into Guiding Light a few months after him and recounts a tale of his embarrassingly large and delusional ego.
