Today we have Gwen and Jake from Camp Henry, a West Michigan summer camp serving the community since 1937. The connection between a camp for children and adults struggling with substance addiction? Clients of the Guiding Light Recovery program have been coming to Camp Henry for years. The reason is because the value of "play therapy," stepping outside of your comfort zone, and remembering how to have fun in sobriety is something that counselor's like our guests are experts in facilitating. We talk about the value of being a kid again in recovery, and how important it is as a means to not take yourself so seriously.
