Box Elder School District announced last week that it will be discontinuing enrollment in its Chinese Dual Language Immersion program after enrollment numbers did not meet the threshold to keep the program financially viable. At a meeting in December 2023, the board of education extended the Chinese DLI application deadline until Jan. 15 to try to meet the 50-applicant threshold.
