A text amendment to the county’s land use code has clarified the difference between “allowed use” and “permitted use.” According to Community Development Director Scott Lyons, the clarification in the county’s land use map specifies that an al­lowed use, designated with an “A” on the map, does not require a permit, while a permitted use, designated with a “C1” on the map, requires review by county officials and a conditional use permit.
