The Box Elder County Commission approved a request from the United Way of Utah to use county property at the courthouse to host the second annual ‘Box Elder Runs Strong’ fundraiser. The activity is meant to raise funds to help support the county’s various nonprofit service organizations, and will feature a 5K race, a company sponsor race, a bicycle race, as well as booths for crafts, science demonstrations and art displays. The event is scheduled to run from 8 a.m. through 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 11. The commission voted to approve United Way’s request unanimously.
