Holding Court

Yesterday, we thought about James’ harsh words for the followers, calling them adulterous. How they were called to a faithful covenant relationship with the Lord God, but too often were pulled away by the world. It was a call from James to come back to God; repent, return and discover that God is waiting.
 But with James, he is constantly interested in what faith means, how it’s worked out in our life and the fruit of our relationship with God. For James, a sign of a healthy relationship with God, a faithful relationship and one that sees us coming near to God, will be seen in the way that we treat others.
