The wind blows hard and cold from the ocean. Colder than the surrounding area, but given that its temperature remains somewhat constant throughout the year, it acts as a heater for the coast. We’re in direct path of the Pineapple Express, so called because it blows from the south Pacific- Hawaii and other places where the weather is warm enough for pineapples to grow. It blows softly and it blows hard, though sometimes it doesn’t blow at all. When the surrounding temperature is colder than the wind, then birds come from all over to bask in the warmth. All along on the hill, on account of all the warm blowing, I reckon, the flowers carpet the hills early in the year. The path twists and bends all around, so even if you find it hard on one side, you would soon reach the other where it’s softly blowing.
