"Dear Heather and Poolboy, Two mothers verbally attacked me yesterday as I was dropping my child off at school. They were mad because I sent my nine-year-old son to class even though he wasn't feeling well. We did a home covid test. He was negative and only had a slight fever and scratchy throat. The mothers berated me and said I'm a bad mom for sending my kid to school when he is sick. I said unlike their children, mine is not a snowflake and can handle going to school while under the weather. I think kids need to toughen up. There's nothing wrong with going to school if you're not seriously ill. Who do you side with?"
"I have already lost money on some of the early March Madness games. I'm planning to bet on more games this weekend in hopes I can make my money back. The guys at work say I've lost so much that I need to tell my wife what I've done. They say if I don't than it's 'financial infidelity'. Is it wrong if I don't tell her how much I've lost? They say I'm hiding a secret from my spouse and that's wrong? Is it wrong to keep secrets from your partner? The money I'm losing is my own so I don't think it matters. Does it? It's not from the joint account so who cares?"
"I'm up for a job promotion at work. I've spent years working hard for the promotion. Women don't often get promoted in my company so I'm excited for the opportunity. The other guy, who is up for the promotion, called out sick yesterday. Another co-worker saw him at a bar at lunch watching March Madness games. I was furious. He shouldn't be allowed to fake a sick day while I'm working hard. I am thinking about telling my boss about what happened. My mentor says the move is risky. What would you do if you were me? Is snitching fair play?"
