Fasting Again
1 Chronicles 28:10 MSG God has chosen you to BUILD his holy house. Be brave, determined. And do it!
Building the spiritual discipline of prayer and fasting… this builds the house of God = you and me…= HIS CHURCH!
Are you ready to FAST AGAIN
As we lean into this season of fasting it will do 3 significant things in our lives:
1. Prepare us for divine purpose
Luke 4:1-2 TPT
From the moment of his baptism, Jesus overflowed with the Holy Spirit. He was taken by the Spirit from the Jordan into the wilderness of Judea to experience for forty days the ordeal of testing by the accuser. He ate no food during this time and ended his forty-day fast very hungry.
Luke 4:14-15TPT
Then Jesus, armed with the Holy Spirit’s power, returned to Galilee, and his fame spread throughout the region. He taught in the synagogues and they glorified him.
These next 21 days, will be a season of preparation….
This is our season to prepare for the divine purpose God has for our lives.
Expect to engage in some testing….
BUT, THEN, expect to be full of Holy Spirit Power as you move forward into your God destiny and divine purpose!
Judges 20:25-28 MSG
On the second day, the Israelites again advanced against Benjamin. This time as the Benjaminites came out of the city, on this second day, they devastated another eighteen Israelite divisions, all swordsmen. All the People of Israel, the whole army, were back at Bethel, weeping, sitting there in the presence of God. That day they fasted until evening. They sacrificed Whole-Burnt-Offerings and Peace-Offerings before God. And they again inquired of God. The Chest of God’s Covenant was there at that time with Phinehas son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron, as the ministering priest. They asked, “Shall we again march into battle against the Benjaminites, our brothers? Or should we call it quits?” And God said, “Attack. Tomorrow I’ll give you victory.”
What has been defeating you this week?
Are you ready to call it quits?
What are you mourning? What have you already given up on? ….
TOMORROW I will give you VICTORY!

Mark 9:14-29 Tells the story of a boy who was in desperate need of miracle. The disciples were praying for him but could not find a breakthrough for him. Jesus arrives and heals the boy.
Mark 9:28-29 TPT
Afterwards, when Jesus arrived at the house, his disciples asked him in private, “Why couldn’t we cast out the demon?” He answered them, “This type of powerful spirit can only be cast out by fasting and prayer.”
Fasting brings breakthrough into our lives.
